Down South in Andhra Pradesh and in the Telugu film industry, R P Patnaik is making film on this character called 'Broker'. R P Patnaik who started his career as a music director has been working on this story for a very long time. His tag line for the movie is that one person needs a job to be done and another looks at this need as an opportunity and between this 'Need' and 'Opportunity' stands the character called 'Broker'. Who mediates, facilitates, fixing, lobbies, brokers to get the work done and make his share from one or either sides in the process. This character called 'Broker' has a unique recognition across the world and has literally existed in every part of life.
The movie 'Broker' stars RP Patnaik himself along with Srihari. It is being said that Srihari plays a political leader while RP Patnaik plays his assitant who brokers various deals for his boss. It is being said that these two characters have been created with utmost care and not to hurt any sentiments.
But people who have been involved closely with the projects said that this is most likely the story of Late Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy, former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and his political advisor Dr. KVP Ramachandra Rao. It is widely known fact that while, YSR was ruling the State, it was KVP who was running the show from behind and even grew to the extent of being the shadow chief minister. Ministers, Politicians, MLAs, Bureaucrats, Industrialists and even common people used to look for KVP's mercy to get their job done. Even YSR used to process every act of his through KVP only.
While, this was a widely known fact - former Congress minister Konda Surekha recently called KVP 'a broker', this mention emphasizes the point how critical was the role of KVP during YSR regime. Percentages and shares to YSR and his family were always discussed through KVP.
Coming back to 'Broker' the movie RP Patnaik has certainly raised eyebrows across by making a movie on this subject and it is being said that the movie might run into some kind of political storm once it hits the screens across Andhra Pradesh shortly. Government sources state that the ruling side may not raise any kind of opposition to the movie to take a dig at YSR and his family.
